How do we actively engage in a society so unforgiving and unpredictable and yet so full of God’s presence and action?
M25i is very excited about what you are about to read. We are packaging TWO MEANINGFUL EVENTS into one! You get to pick. Once a month, you are invited to join both segments or just one:
6:00pm CT - M25i Ministry Working Groups (more info here)
7pm-8:30pm CT - Live Bible Study: The Lord Roars
You have the choice to only come to the Bible Study, if you'd like to deepen your love of Scripture and learn what God says about how the Church is to engage society.
Join us as Dr. Carroll Rodas opens up Scripture with the focus on Biblical ethics, unpacking how God desires his people to engage society, culture, and the “quartet of the vulnerable:” the poor, the widow, the orphan, and the stranger.
This is a rare opportunity to be led in a live Bible study with a world class scholar, who keeps his feet planted in the suffering of our world.
Watch the introduction above to this living-room-style series. Dr. Rodas is a professor who is leading us as if we were his students, carefully building how we engage with Scripture. His style is methodical, kind, clear, and surprising.
Dr. Daniel Carroll Rodas is professor of Biblical Studies at Wheaton College. He is half-Guatemalan and was raised in Central America. This experience led him to a passionate focus on Old Testament social ethics. His work explores the relevance of the biblical text for the challenges of poverty, war, and politics. He is committed to connecting careful biblical scholarship with the mission of the church as it engages today’s complex realities.
