The Matthew 25 Initiative Matching Grant
The M25i grant is a catalyst for churches and small ministries launching new initiatives to walk alongside the vulnerable and marginalized in our communities across North America. We create a pathway for Christ-centered ministries to receive the financial aid they need to share the Gospel of God’s Grace and meet the real human needs of the poor and vulnerable.
Since the beginning of the Initiative, we have raised and dispersed almost $2 Million to nearly 130 different efforts and ministries in North America.
Notice
Due to funding constraints, the Matthew 25 Initiative is pausing our annual grant program for 2024. We desire to restart the program as soon as possible.
We have seen the transformative impact that small grants can have on new organizations and are committed to finding ways to multiply this catalytic tool for the kingdom in our communities.
How it works
The needs in our own communities — both urban and rural — are vast. And we desire to be faithful to our own neighbors who need us as we need them.
Once a year, we open our Matthew 25 Grant Application process, allowing Anglican justice and mercy kick-start ministries and programs across Canada, Mexico and the United States to apply for our matching grants ranging between $3,000-$15,000.
Submissions
Applications are reviewed against a set of strict criteria to ensure the projects align to the intent and purpose the grant as created for. Qualifying applications are then reviewed by an independent panel of jurists who recommend grant recipients. Approved recipients sign an MOU and begin raising matching funds (funds are only considered as matching as being receipt after the data of application submission). Recipients agree to sending mid-term reports and an annual report with pictures of the work.
