All Saints Immigration Services
All Saints Immigration Services became a U.S. Department of Justice Recognized Organization in 2020 enabling our staff to provide low-cost legal representation and advice to our immigrant neighbors in the west Tennessee area. With the help and support of All Saints Anglican Church in Jackson, Tennessee we opened our doors to our first client in November of 2020.
Immigrants are often targeted by unauthorized “legal practitioners” (“notarios”) who prey on the vulnerability of the immigrant. Legal advice can come only from attorneys practicing immigration law or DOJ accredited representatives. ASIS began out of a desire to make low cost legal aid available to our West TN neighbors.
We seek to understand their stories, conduct legal research, prepare, finalize, and file necessary USCIS legal forms, guide them in gathering necessary evidence, and to prepare and accompany each client throughout the process. For those who qualify to apply for U.S. citizenship we assist them with the complex forms and filing requirements and provide resources to help our clients as they study and prepare for both the oral and written portions of the citizenship test.
We do these things with the conviction that ASIS clients have inherent worth and value and are people with unique and challenging stories, histories, hopes, and fears. We are committed to walking with our clients through the resolution of their case. We come alongside our immigrant clients to guide them through the complex and lengthy process of applying for or adjusting their legal status to allow them to remain in the United States. We also make referrals when available to help provide social services to clients as they await resolution of their legal case.
