For The Displaced
Intercessor:
Let us pray for all who have been forced from their homes, for refugees, immigrants, and displaced people seeking safety, belonging, and hope. May the Church reflect God’s heart of welcome and a Revelation 7 vision of His beautiful kingdom.
Lord, in Your mercy,
Hear our prayer.
Intercessor:
God of Abraham, who called Your servant to journey into the unknown. God of Ruth, who was called your own in a foreign land, we pray for those who have left everything behind—homes, families, and communities—seeking refuge from war, persecution, and hardship. Strengthen them on their journey, protect them from harm, and provide for their needs.
Lord, in Your mercy,
Hear our prayer.
Intercessor:
Lord Jesus, who as a child fled with Your family to Egypt, be near to all refugees and asylum seekers. Comfort those who feel lost and alone. Give hope to the fearful and healing to the brokenhearted. May Your Church be a place of welcome, a shelter of safety, and a witness to Your boundless love.
Lord, in Your mercy,
Hear our prayer.
Intercessor:
Holy Spirit, stir the hearts of leaders in our nations to create policies that protect the vulnerable and uphold the dignity of every person. Guide those in authority to act with wisdom and compassion, that justice may roll down like a river and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.
Lord, in Your mercy,
Hear our prayer.
Intercessor:
We pray for those in our own communities who have arrived from distant lands. May we, as Your people, offer friendship to the lonely, support to the struggling, and hope to those rebuilding their lives. Open our hearts to be generous in action, faithful in prayer, and bold in advocacy for those in need.
Lord, in Your mercy,
Hear our prayer.
Intercessor:
Lord of all generations, call Your people—young and old—to serve in this holy work. Inspire the young to befriend newcomers, the working to give generously and advocate for justice, and the elderly to offer wisdom, prayer, and welcome. May Your Church be a sign of Your kingdom, where all are gathered, loved, and made whole.
Lord, in Your mercy,
Hear our prayer.
Intercessor:
We pray for all who long for a true home, for those separated from family, and for those who grieve what they have lost. May they find in You their refuge and their rest, and may we, as the Body of Christ, walk with them in love until all are gathered in Your eternal kingdom.
Lord, in Your mercy,
Hear our prayer.
Celebrant:
Heavenly Father, You are the God who gathers the scattered, who makes strangers into family, and who calls all people to Yourself. May we be faithful to Your call, walking in love as You have loved us. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
